Let me introduce myself
My name is Brie Jordan-Cooley. I am a licensed clinical social worker and a Registered Play Therapist. I have a background in trauma attunement and gender violence intervention, I integrate play and expressive therapies—such as art, music, puppetry, sand tray, drama, LEGO, and storytelling—into my clinical work. For over 25 years, I have worked with children and families in diverse roles (IIH provider, Exceptional Education teacher, one-to-one, group facilitator, clinician) and settings (schools, residential facilities, outpatient clinics, child advocacy clinics). My experience includes supporting Autistic youth, LGBTQ youth, and survivors of IPV and sexual assault.
The family system is vital to individual healing, I emphasize healthy attachment, connection, communication, and collaborative skill building while promoting individual and family resilience. Raised locally, I am passionate about ensuring equitable, inclusive care for all individuals and families.
